Day 27 - It is possible!

Afghan heartthrob Shapoor Zadran

Yes, it is possible for...

... England to win and Kiwis to lose! ;-)

How crucial was that drop of Vettori? In a see-saw game Bangladesh had the measure of the Kiwis for 95% of the game, I should say. Naturally under such high-scoring circumstances, one or two instances are what that separate two evenly-matched teams(!). To me, the battle was kind of lost for NZL when their 'aggressive' captain had all but finished his top-line bowlers before over #45 and had to leak more than 80 runs in the last 6 overs! 82 to be precise. One is reminded of a saying... 'stoop to conquer', which Mahmudullah took to his heart!

Of course, there was a small matter of about 1.2 billion blue warriors praying for a Kiwi victory so that they can face Bangladesh at MCG. By the way, has Star Sports already come out with a badla video for the 2007 loss to the Bangla dadas?

Down at Sydney, England won. 'nuff said.

Not sure who was weeping more - the skies or the English players...
At this time, I can say this only to England and not to AFG: 'See you in 2019!'
It is upto the big-troika to make me say the same to Afghanistan also!

Tribute to the Afghans. With nothing in their pockets, the Afghans have captured the imagination of the watching public. Showed heart. Hopefully the results show up in the years to come.

G-Section:

Look out for the knock-out G-Section approach by Monday!

People are perceptive. A couple of BAN supporters were there. And the English game was wasteful due to the rains.

Tomorrow Australia should cement its second spot and India should join NZL as another undefeated team. Oh, there is a small matter of Lloyd's record for MSD...

Q-Section:

The clue worked. RAND came the answer from AngelAsh and ManiacG! 2 points to them.

You see...

Sotho word for gold gives you Gauteng. Apart from the geological fact that Gauteng is blessed with enormous gold deposits, it was constituted by three regions viz., Pretoria-Witwatersrand-Vereeniging (PWV). Witwatersrand - White Waters Ridge, supposedly had so much of gold that people decided that they will name the SA currency as RAND, which in reality means 'ridge'

Now for today's question:

Before going into the question. Watch this video. Goose pimples.

Now how do we connect the two pictures below? 4 points.
