Day 26 - Somewhere ICC is laughing!

Who is this ICC? My competitor??? Haa!

In Cricinfo, there was a comment during the SA innings. "I can't follow the game anymore. I have an urgent work to watch paint dry!"

Now, terabytes have been consumed on the plight of the Associates. All the people who are shouting about the Associates were running behind IPL, Big-3, Big-Bash, Chris Gayle, KP, Clarke's hamstring and what not, when they could have spent the same time to talk (ergo make some noise) about Nepal's great improvement, Bermuda's slide from World Cup to WCL Div-4, Netherland's plight of flight, Irish players being hijacked by England etc.

Paraphrasing Andy Warhol, "Everybody will have their 15-minute fame!"

Dear Associates, this is your '15-minutes' that the world is ready to give. Impress or depress. It is your choice. For after next week, even your so-called staunchest supporters - in the media that is, will forget you and move on to 'greener pastures'.

UAE impressed where they could. At SA 96-3, they were in with a shout to restrict SAffers somewhat. But with the gaps in experience and skills being so vast, it was only a matter of few overs, before normalcy returned. Everybody except Quinton de Kock did reasonably ok. Roussow's dismissal would have excited the Lankans (Dilshan bunny?)

G-Section:

I heard that somebody was unhappy after UAE decided to field. You see, if SA blasts first, the number of sixers will be way above normal. And when you have guessed a 4-7 sixer-count, you will be naturally unhappy :-)

I liked the enthusiasm. Yet, nobody got the count right! No losers today!!

Tomorrow's games are interesting ones.

Will England be Af'gun'ned? Will Bangla tigers claw into the Kiwis?

Slug it out, folks!

Q-Section:

When I said easy, people really thought that I had changed my mind. It is not that trivial to say that Gauteng contributes more than a third of SA economy.

Keeping it open for one more day.
Here is a hint for 2 points.

  • Concentrate on PWV in Gauteng.

Answers and guesses to the usual place.
