Day 20 - A Holi Scrap!

I have a pet theory about the Indian performance today. They played Holi in the morning. Had a few bhangs. Then did a few warm-up rounds. Turned up at the WACA. Results speak for themselves. A bit unusual.

West Indies did not play Holi. They probably had a few bhangs or some equivalent nectar. No they don't do warm-ups. Turned up at the WACA. Results speak for themselves. Quite usual.

It was such a comedy of errors - India dropping 4 catches (Dhoni wants to sweep them under the carpet), giving 16 wides (Dhoni says that his bowlers did a good job - you can grant him that).

West Indies didn't drop any but gave 19 wides and were no-balled thrice. In a low-scoring scrap, that is not just Au, it is Pt.

Before the game, the Indian media wanted (and therefore, so did the FB warriors and Twitterati) a stretch exercise for India. Somebody even wanted Dhoni to step in at 90 for 4 and rescue India. The man came in 12 runs earlier and carried India home. Now everyone and his Sidhu will say that India's win was not convincing enough. They will start poking holes in the batting and by tomorrow Dhawan and Rohit and Kohli and Rahane and Raina and Jadeja will resemble Swiss cheese!

Oh, what a little bit of juice in the pitch can do to life?

Pool B is turning out to be interesting. Looks like there will be a real fight to the last two places.

G-Section:

After the all-correct entries yesterday, half the populace got it right today.

Tomorrow's games are:

South Africa vs Pakistan @ Auckland by 0830 SGT
Zimbabwe vs Ireland @ Hobart by 1100 SGT

Good crackers of a contest. There are three green uniforms on the fields tomorrow :-) My guess? Two greenies to win!

Q-Section:

Now ManiacG (2 points) and Guru (4 points) were on the right path of the equation. Another chemistry-induced question actually.

Africa without Morocco gives African Union - AU
会う actually refers to a Japanese Telephone company called - AU
150MMKm denotes 150 million Kilometres - approximate distance between earth and sun which is called the Astronomical Unit - AU
Of course, Auburn University insignia - AU

And Au is gold and 4 golds is what Carl Lewis got in 1984.

A bit of a journey. Hope you enjoyed that.

Today's easy question for 3 points.

Name the person who acted as the heroine in the human version of the movie on which the following video clip is based on.

Answers and guesses to the usual place.

(The usual place is my email address/FB PM/Whatsapp; details of rules/ranges etc., are at http://sribees.blogspot.sg/2015/02/gq-15-here-we-come.html)
