Day 32: QF2 - Billions of Blue Blistering....

...dreams!

Yeah, just paraphrased Captain Haddock's invective to release the tension...

Everybody played their part in today's game: the curator gave a good turning wicket; Ponting played a fabulous innings, Sachin became 18K golden, (as if he wasn't one already?), Gautam showed why he is a good Kho-Kho player, Raina gained confidence by fielding well, Lee shed blood to get that elusive break-through and finally that man, Yuvraj!!! What a transformation a sabbatical can do to one? Tempting, isn't it?

As willed by a billion and a quarter, India face Pakistan in that partitioned-state of Punjab next week.

Go ahead, let those comments, cliches out for the mother of all matches :-)
Well, by the time, I typed the above sentence, Yuva texts: "war is on. :-)"
Hmmmm... Somethings never change...

Side notes:

SunnyG, after a particularly edgy driven boundary by, who else, SRT, gushes: "Sachin played that drive on purpose, knowing that there is no slip!" #$@$^&!%*&^&^%!

When the cameras repeatedly showed a happy Ambani couple after Sachin's 18K runs (what a golden performance!) Dada said: "The owners are happy!" Feeling left out of IPL, Saurav???

And still, India has not played the full 50 overs since the first day of the tournament ;-(

Q Part:

Raghav, Guru, AdarshB, Reddy, Hitesh (real last minute entry!),  Shreyas (his explanation below is nice:) got the right answer.

Answer: Cleopatra & asp (the hissing variety) ... both having Greek origins, but famous in Roman Egypt. According to the legend, the lady let her pet snake bite her (talk of euthanasia) ... and I thought nerdyness is something very recently attributed to those MS geeks...

The cleopatra picture is a homage to the departed beauty Liz Taylor.

And here is today's question...

Match the flowers with the players.
Full points if you give the names of the flowers and the players.
