Day 1: Virut Sehli Prachunda Baloh!

So, finally the first ball was bowled and was promptly sent to the boundary by Sehwag. Could sense a crazy steel in the guy and he was frighteningly monotonous in scoring those runs.So much so, his average went up by almost three-quarters-of-a-run due to this one innings alone! Remember he has played more than 200 innings...(yes, yes, I am a number cruncher :-))

Then Kohli's bat speed. Not sure whether it was becaue of the ADSL connectivity from mio TV... but one thing was sure, Kohli's bat was a blur throughout. One moment the bowler turns his arm around. Then there is a whir of the bat and the ball was speeding towards the boundary. Class.

A good solid win by the Indians. But I shall wait for more sterner tests, where the Broads of the world will not bowl leg-side half-volleys or off-side full tosses.

A good start to the BQ part.

B Part:

Rambo has made a killing after the first game; but the tourney is in neo-natal stage. So...

Q Part:

The first question of the BQ-CWC 2011 was answered by a number of people. Somebody said PB Sreenivas (nah!), Guru said Bhargav (though the junior is not 'yet' famous, in his own words) *$^#*!

The correct answer is Dr M G Ramachandran (from a photo shoot when he was 15, as he prepared an album to be sent around the studios so that he can land some acting jobs...Thanks Vikatan).

Chets, Maddy, Saran, Sharath, Siva* and Yuva got the right answer. Good start boys!

Now here is the next one.
Drumrolls pleazzzz...

An interesting googly from the world of tennis.

What is the connection between the two pictures - apart from the fact that they are two women tennis players?

Answers to the usual place.
Enjoy your Sunday.
