Normal service has been restored.

Some technical glitches in the home computer coupled with excessive tiredness caused this delay.

Looks like both the games yesterday could have been completed within 50 overs - put together!!

Of course, the Banglas got overwhelmed by the immense expectations of their crowd and promptly got pelted  - not to mention the Windies getting hit as well. Advantages of playing in South Asia :-((

Day 13: Tale of three leggies

Well, Canada did try to do what their trans-Atlantic cousins did yesterday. The blueprint was nicely printed. But there was nobody to read the same.

Oranje went the much-travelled route by the Associates. Allow the full member to score over seven an over and then fold meekly. They said that the meek shall rule the world. But I don't know which world?!

Today was a day of three leg spinners. Tahir, Balaji Rao and Boom^2.

Between them they took ten wickets and life seems to be full of roses for the leggies. Just goes on to prove that all you need is good control (as if it is easy to achieve!) and big heart to go and perform.

Funny thing is that two of the trio are from Pakistan and the other one is from Chennai, India :-))
Interesting.

Heard that all of Pakistan is wishing NOT to play the QF in India. Sensible and by current form, they seem to be on target to achieve that, i.e., first in their group!!

By the way, our dear umpires had a field day - all the first four referrals in the Canada innings had to be pulled back... eeeesh!

It has a self-contained master-key for extending the evaluation to any number of decimal places.

The translation is as follows:

Day 11: Kenyan Malingancy :-)

Yet another minnow got murdered. Malinga was warming the benches for the first couple of games and once he came in, there was no stopping him. With a tie on Sunday, hat-tricks by Roach and Malinga on Monday and Tuesday respectively, the improbable is happening three-days-in-a-row!

Day 10: Associates Zombied and Roached!

Bell does not know the 2.5m rule. Neither did we.

Dhoni calls the Bell decision as 'adulteration'. Of course, the Indian bowling was 'unadulterated' tripe and the fielding 'unadulterated' baloney! But you have to give it to the man: "We can't improve fielding that much; we will work on our strengths!" Full Corporate Talk, MS!!

Teams beware: A secret note from Viru to himself says, "This is why I said that I shall bat for all the 50 overs; if I had done that yesterday, the score would have crossed 400 and we could have still won by 10 runs!
